isElementVisible 

function isElementVisible(element: HTMLElement | null): boolean;

The isElementVisible function is used to check if an element within react-md is visible by checking the element and all parents to see if they contain the DISPLAY_NONE_CLASS.

This can be useful in testing.

Example Usage

import { isElementVisible } from "@react-md/core/utils/isElementVisible";

const treeItem = screen.getByRole("treeitem", { name: "Tree Item" });
const subTreeItem = screen.getByRole("treeitem", { Name: "Sub Tree Item" });

expect(isElementVisible(treeItem)).toBe(true);
expect(isElementVisible(subTreeItem)).toBe(false);

await user.click(treeItem);
expect(isElementVisible(treeItem)).toBe(true);
expect(isElementVisible(subTreeItem)).toBe(true);

Parameters

Returns

true if the element exists, does not contain the DISPLAY_NONE_CLASS, and all parents do not contain the DISPLAY_NONE_CLASS.
